I reached out with outstretched arms
to hold you and tell you about my fears,
only you were an illusion.
I heard you call my name,
but when I turned around
I found myself very much alone.
When I was overwhelmed by loneliness,
I opened my bedroom door to see you standing nearby saying,
"Come here and sit down with me."
When I sat down, you disappeared
then I cried because you were only an illusion.
Before I awoke one morning
you were hugging me and singing a love song
that I admired so dear,
then my alarm clock went off and you were gone again.

I once had the feeling of humiliation and helplessness.
When those around me self-assured worked quietly
on my subconscious to make me feel insecure about mainly everything.
Little did I realize that I was holding myself back
because of the fact that I did not believe in myself.
I had no goals or achievements to set for myself.

When I see a picture of all of the fans and admirers you see,
I wonder if you can remember those who you occasionally meet.
I wonder if you try to think back as to who the person was
who gave you roses or balloons. I wonder if you can't remember.
How in the world could you anyway,
when I myself can't remember a lot of things?
I realize that there are so many things a performer
must do and possibly say, but one day when I meet you,
I will know that my life would then be fulfilled
and I will remember whatever I possibly can for the rest of my life.

Let me go, leave me alone.
I'm tired of all the pain.
I wish to be alone so let me go.
If I could, I would live alone.
If I could, I would ask you to let me go.
The pressure of everyday living that's in this world
won't leave me alone either, neither will it go away.
I have to face all of the problems there are to face today.
When I leave on vacation to get a place of silent life,
let me go and bid that I'll have a good time.

The fans are dancing tonight.
It's your very last concert you say,
we wish you could do it just a little bit more.
We enjoy the company of each other as you ask us to hold hands.
Look, look around, see this great thing that you have done.
Everyone is in the most wonderful harmony and singing your sweet songs.
We dance together, we call your name, but it is your last concert you say.
The fans begin crying because they wanted to hear more.
I'm sorry, it's over, there will be no more.
We've got to understand your pains and fears through all of those years.
We can still, at least dance tonight.

As time passes on things always change to fit in this world
so life won't always be the same way everyday.
When you wish that things could always be the way they are,
something comes along and changes your mind to make things better.
Then you know that life goes on and everything changes to inevitable things.

If only adults could have the innocence of a child.
Almost all of the time you will find
someone who criticizes every single thing
but for a child it may seem to be great.
when you ask a child about their fantasy land
you'll find it to be so different from what an adult would have.
A child knows nothing of the value of money
but many adults constantly complain
of how their spouse spent a dollar or two.
But it does not matter to a child.
There are so very few adults
who have the innocence of a child.

Isolation and loneliness can lead you astray,
unlike anything you have ever known.
There are times when I need a friend,
anyone, a neighbor, anybody.
I know I'm not the only one
who often feels that way because of the people I've seen.

Not that very long ago,
I was wrapped up in all the songs
of a man who I loved so very much.
to this day, I still love him a lot
but he sang about my pains,
my feelings, my thoughts.
In certain songs, it seemed
as though he was singing just for me.
I used to cry for hours listening to his songs
and I admired him even more.
I gradually started to shed my fears
and best of all, my tear stained cheeks were dry once again.
I remember being all alone, then the next thing I knew,
I was crying while yet the songs playing
I could very well hear.
At times, I felt as though I had no control in my life.
It seemed as though I was living for others
so they could control the future of what it had in store for me.

I realized not long ago how precious life was
and how life achievements would show.
i realized earlier on how much life really meant to me
and of how badly I needed to succeed.
I realized the hard work of others
and how it at times changes people's lives.

I'm out of control, I'm losing my mind,
trying to get a grip of the feelings inside.
I'm hastening to feelings that I once knew,
and giving up things that could not be spoken of or told.
Emotions and pain in a world unknown.
Trying to find a friend better than gold.
A dream in the night of emotions expressed.
You wake up to find
that it was only a dream that you once possessed.

The path you traveled was rather long,
the ideals you lived by were carried
on to the generations that are to come.
Milestones of achievements and goals left
yet waiting to be achieved by you or someone else.
Every goal that you set has a rather long milestone attached.

A very young child entertained the world.
He was too young to understand
how he could change lives
and make the world seem brighter.
When he sang, the world sang with him
and he touched the hearts of both young and old.
On many occasions he looked on
as he saw a performer doing his routines of dancing and singing.
He watched behind the smelly and dirty curtains
while his brothers laughed and joked elsewhere.
Alone, watching and learning his business more and more,
every week, every hour of the day he learned new things,
but he was just a child.
He missed much of an average child's life
of the fun and games that should have came
while he performed and practiced on
to later be known as the greatest performer in the world.

When you cry at a time when you are all alone, remember me.
There's nothing worse than feeling lonely and so greatly sad inside.
Remember me. I may not be the type of person
who you would like to be around with all the time
but that doesn't matter because I want you to remember me.
many claim that I love you too much,
but I feel as though I can never love enough.
When I can not see your smiles,
I wonder will he remember me
and still suffer because he does not want to interfere
in a day that may have been my very best?
I can not see his tears,
but I feel his pain when I read about his emotions.
Michael, I cry sometimes so hard
I feel as though I could die, please remember me.
I love you so very much.

I don't want to hear fairy tales anymore.
I want to hear of real life occurrences,
of things that others feel just as much as me.
I'm tired of hearing fairy tales,
of pretend places that do not exist
and of places where it costs a great deal to spend so little time in.
I'm tired of hearing fairy tales about life
and of all the marriages
that should have been fantasy which turned to pain and fights.
I'm tired of all those fairy tales, of having a real and true friend.
at least as of now that fairy tale can not come true so soon.
Sometimes, I wonder if it ever can.

I know when you've had enough when you say,
"This is the very last time."
There will be no more performances. Or will there?
I feel as though I missed out on so much,
but when you've had enough,
you've really had enough.
Your eyes look so tired
as though from a lack of sleep,
but it's probably from working so hard
at being my favorite "star".

The world's watching everything you do and say.
they listen so very closely to the music that you play.
When all seems to go wrong
just think of how much your fans love you
and of how for them whatever you do is always the best.
We notice the hard work you give into a performance,
we hear the perfect note,
we most of all know how you work towards perfection
when you dance anywhere at all.

The special feelings that you share with me
are like a soft petal on a rose.
The heartaches that come along
are never again lonely and never come back to where I am.
So I gathered up the lonely pictures that remained in my mind
and I threw them away into an empty box
that will be stored in a far off place,
away where no one will dig up the memories.

Who cares more than me?
Who looks on with eyes of gold as of to say
I appreciate what you've given me.
Everything you ever did
had all the meaning you could ever hope to give.
My heart was and still is so very deeply touched.

I've made many dreams come true.
I've been to the sky. I've watched many fall nearby.
when I fail, I smile and try again just as though nothing happened.
The dreams, goals, and achievements that I seek
are all indeed within my reach.
Why cry?
When I can say goodbye and make it on my own
and be the best that I can be and most of all succeed.

Silently make that special wish
before the sun goes down
behind the clouds and the horizon.
Make it right,
exactly how you want it to come true,
for maybe one day,
something will happen
so that special wish will come true.

I remember pacing in my room
knowing that you were very close,
so nearby but my parents would not let me see you,
not even with my eyes.
I cried day after day
knowing how long I had waited to see your face.
That was just an opportunity I never could have.
I remember times when I had an offer to go,
but I knew my parents would say, "No".
I know one thing, if Michael was Elvis Presley I could.

Michael you fill all of the voids in my life,
and I've never felt that way before about anyone.
As the years pass by you still glitter in my eyes
as being more precious and more loved.
It sometimes seems as though life is so unfair.
I've watched on as I saw someone other than me, hugging you.
I actually cry, merely every single time,
each moment wishing that it was me.
I've never wanted to hold someone so bad.
Because of what you did for a living,
you changed my life one hundred percent.
You in many ways taught me how to believe in myself.
You encouraged me to do so many things.
To say to what I believe in the most and never give up at anything.
That's a debt I owe to you,
yet I feel as though nothing that exists nor ever will exist in the future
could possibly give you anything back.
Nothing at all Michael, but I'll try anyway.
I've never felt that way about anyone.

One of the things I missed was to kiss your sweeetest lips.
To hold you tight with all my might and say,
"I love you," and really mean it too.
At night when I'm afraid of being alone
of being betrayed of a friendship,
that's when I think of you
and remember one of the things I missed
which was to be yours forever as I once wished.

With the wave of a hand, especially yours, it means so much.
The remembrance of the wave of a hand is great and powerful.
The admirers even within a few feet are left emotional
for a long time after you leave.
They cry, they jump up and down screaming.
"He waved to me, I don't believe it, he waved to me!"
